Hon. Leslie Geissler Munger
Leslie Geissler Munger was sworn in as Illinois State Comptroller on January 12, 2015. Comptroller Munger is a native Illinoisan, earning her bachelor’s degree at the University of Illinois and her master’s degree from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. She is a former brand management business executive with Unilever HPC/Helene Curtis where she led the $800 million U.S. Hair Care business and Procter & Gamble by managing large budgets, solving difficult business problems, and delivering results. Early in her career, Munger also was in charge of recruiting at McKinsey and Company, Inc. She has been an active community volunteer and leader for the Riverside Foundation, a not-for-profit residential facility for developmentally disabled adults in Lincolnshire where she was named Volunteer of the Year in 2013. Comptroller Munger also served on the School District 103 Foundation Board for 7 years, and spent 3 of those years as President. The Foundation raised money for education enhancements in the school. She is a member of the University of Illinois Student Affairs Advisory Council. In 2004, Leslie was named Lincolnshire's Citizen of the Year. Comptroller Munger and her husband, John, live in Lincolnshire and have two adult sons, Tom and Andy.
