What You Can Expect From a Cruz Administration

Heidi Nelson Cruz, wife of Presidential Candidate Ted Cruz, is a successful businesswoman and mother to their two children Caroline, 7, and Catherine, 5. Most recently, she worked in private wealth management for Goldman Sachs, as a managing director in Houston. Prior to that, she worked in the Bush Administration with the U.S. Trade Representative, and under Condoleezza Rice on the National Security Council. Additionally, she served as an economic policy advisor for George W. Bush's 2000 presidential campaign, where she first met Ted. Heidi is currently a member of the Texas Business Leadership Council, and past board member of the Greater Houston Partnership and the Advancement Board of Yes Prep Public Schools of Houston. Heidi grew up in California, and also spent time overseas with her parents who served as medical missionaries in Kenya and Nigeria. She graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Claremont McKenna College in 1994, and earned a Masters of European Business from Universite Libre de Bruxelles in Brussels in 1995 and an MBA from Harvard Business School in 2000.
