Bob Schillerstrom was recently appointed Chairman of the Illinois Toll Highway Authority Board by Governor Bruce Rauner. Bob is a longtime partner in Ice Miller's Public Affairs Group. He has more than 30 years of experience counseling clients on matters relating to local and state governments, including community relations, public affairs and strategic public policy development, as well as real estate tax appeals issues and zoning related matters. Bob previously served three terms as chairman of the DuPage County Board. He earned a reputation for reducing property taxes, lowering county property taxes nine out of 12 years and consistently doing more for DuPage County taxpayers with less money. Bob has been an active figure in DuPage County politics for three decades, regularly holding leadership positions in local and county governments and in the Republican Party where he consistently advocated to reduce the cost of government. Bob has been an active environmentalist, currently serving on the Board of the Morton Arboretum. He is a past chairman of the Board of the Conservation Foundation, a three-term member of the DuPage County Forest Preserve District and a past president of the Naperville Park District. Bob earned his bachelor's degree at Illinois College majoring in religion and his law degree at Chicago-Kent College of Law. He lives in Naperville with his wife and has three grown children.
