Dan Cronin won election to the office of DuPage County Board Chairman in November 2010 with more than 63% of the vote. Endorsed by the Chicago Tribune, Daily Herald and Sun Publications newspapers, Cronin has pledged to bring more fiscal accountability and greater efficiency to county government. First elected to the Illinois Senate in 1992, his accomplishments over the past 18 years reflect his commitment to taxpayers, children, senior citizens and small business owners. At a time when leadership and vision are needed in public office, Dan Cronin is prepared to lead county government while preserving the quality of life that makes DuPage County special.
Dan is a resident of Elmhurst where he lives with his wife, Juliann, and their four children. He is partner in the Oak Brook law firm Power and Cronin. He is a graduate of Fenwick High School with a B.A. from Northwestern University and a J.D. from Loyola Law School. Cronin served in the DuPage County State's Attorney's Office in the late 1980s. He serves on the board of directors for the Ray Graham Association, Joseph Academy and the Family Shelter Service Advisory Council
