Natasha Korecki
Natasha Korecki is the Political Reporter for the Chicago Sun-Times, covering politics from the Windy City to the White House. She is the host of the CSTtv political show "Off Message." Korecki is the author of the newly-released book "Only in Chicago: How the Rod Blagojevich Scandal Engulfed Illinois and Enthralled the Nation." She spent eight years reporting from federal court in Chicago that included covering the trials of Rod Blagojevich and former Gov. George Ryan.
Dan Mihalopoulos
Dan Mihalopoulos is an investigative reporter for the Chicago Sun-Times and writes a weekly political column for Early & Often. This year, his series about the United Neighborhood Organization charter schools won the national Education Writers Association's top prize for investigative reporting and the Chicago Headline Club’s Watchdog Award. Before joining the Sun-Times in 2012, he covered City Hall for the Chicago Tribune and the Chicago News Cooperative (Chicago section of the New York Times).
Mary A. Mitchell
Mary A. Mitchell is an editorial board member and columnist for the Chicago Sun-Times. She is a recipient of numerous journalism awards, including the prestigious Award of Excellence from the National Association of Black Journalists; the Studs Terkel Award from the Community Media Workshop; the Peter Lisagor Award from the Chicago Headliner Club; the Phenomenal Woman Award-Media from the Expo for Today's Black Woman; and the Humanitarian Award from the 100 Black Men of Chicago. In 2004, Crain's Chicago Business honored Mitchell as one of the 100 Most Influential Women in the city.
Fran Spielman
Fran Spielman has been covering Chicago mayors and city government since Richard J. Daley. Her City Hall beats have included Mayors Michael Bilandic, Jane Byrne, Harold Washington, Eugene Sawyer, Richard M. Daley and Rahm Emanuel. Spielman joined the Sun-Times in 1985 after ten years at Chicago radio station WIND. When owner Westinghouse Broadcasting sold the station, she saw the opportunity to pursue her primary journalistic goal to work for a major newspaper.
Neil Steinberg
Neil Steinberg began writing for the Chicago Sun-Times in 1984, and joined the staff in 1987 as a feature writer. He became a columnist in 1996, and his column runs four days a week in the news section. Steinberg has written for a wide variety of publications, including The Washington Post, The New York Daily News, Forbes, Esquire, Rolling Stone, Sports Illustrated, Details and Men's Journal. He is the author of seven books -- his most recent, “You Were Never in Chicago,” was published by The University of Chicago Press in 2012.
